Thanks for your interest in One Good Kiwi. We are committed to protecting your personal information. This policy has been created by us to help you understand how we collect, use and protect your personal information when you visit the One Good Kiwi website or mobile app.

We ask you to ‘sign up’ to the One Good Kiwi app to ensure that we can fairly distribute donation tokens to as many Kiwis as possible and get in touch with you when more tokens or more features of our app become available. You can still donate tokens on our website without signing up, but you’ll get fewer tokens to donate and miss out on other great ways to help people making Aotearoa awesome! We will always use your personal information in compliance with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

Here’s the detail

• create an account for you with One Good Kiwi so you can donate additional tokens;
• verify the email address you have given us to ensure that only one account is set up for each email address;
• send you a welcome email to the verified email address;
• allocate funds to charities;
• notify you by in-app notification, each month when new tokens become available to donate or share the results of previous donations;
• notify you by email and in-app notification, each month with real-time information about One Good Kiwi;
• alert you to new features of the app;
• collate aggregated information about how you donate

You can choose to turn off notification about new tokens, donation results or app features by turning this off in your app settings.

One Good Kiwi website:

We collect personal information that you provide to us when providing feedback about One Good Kiwi.

We collect and use this personal information to:

• receive and sometimes respond to feedback you provide;
• learn and improve how you use and experience our website;
• collate reports on user experience and feedback

We only retain your personal information for as long as we need it for the uses outlined in this policy.

Third Party Analytics

Third party analytics providers (such as Google Analytics) collect non-personal information about your internet use. This information in the form of, for example cookies and web beacons, is aggregated by these parties and then used by us to help us understand and improve your experience of the One Good Kiwi website.

There may be times we need to disclose your personal information to third parties. If we do, this we will only disclose this information to comply with any legal obligations relating to the operation of One Good Kiwi.

You can view basic account information through the One Good Kiwi app. To change this information or if you would like help accessing your personal information, please contact us at onegoodkiwi@one.nz.

We hope you will continue to use One Good Kiwi but you can delete your account through the ‘settings’ on the app any time. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal information unless there is a requirement for us to keep it.
